Francine Blake
Crop Circles - An Overview
Francine has been a stalwart of the crop circle community ever since 1990, moving to Alton Barnes in Wiltshire in 1992. She was until recently chair of the Wiltshire Crop Circle Study Group (WCCSG), established in 1995. Here Francine gives us her unique summing-up of the enduringly beautiful crop circle mystery, illustrated with archival material showing the scientific evidence of the effects of crop circles on plants and soil. She also explores some of the meanings contained in the geometric designs, showing a selection of some of the most amazing formations to have graced our fields during the last three decades.
Paul Weston
Earth Mysteries, Ufology and the Glastonbury Zodiac
Paul Weston is the author of Avalonian Aeon, Mysterium Artorius, and Aleister Crowley and the Aeon of HorusPaul shows how Glastonbury became a spiritual capital, telling of Anthony Roberts' profound UFO experience in 1969 and his belief that the Glastonbury Zodiac was 12,000 years old, created by Atlanteans with probable help from aliens. We then meet Dion Fortune, Desmond Leslie, Brinsley Le Poer Trench, Tony Wedd and John Michell. Paul shows the influence of ‘earth mysteries ufology’ on beliefs about the place during the 1960s and 70s.
Jayney Goddard
Finding Our Way to Healthy Living
Jayney Goddard is President of the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) and a leading expert on natural healthcare. Jayney is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and of the Royal Society for Public Health. She has a busy practice in London, using a range of complementary medical approaches, and she recently trained at Harvard Medical School under Dr Herbert Benson, the ‘father of mind/body medicine’. Jayney reveals how the world of Big Pharma has succeeded in restricting our health choices, exploring how we can all help to balance this and find our own ways to healthy living.
Mike Mitcham
The 'Smart' Deception
Mike is co-founder of Stop Smart Meters! (UK) – a grassroots campaign raising awareness about the dangers and implications of ‘Smart’ metering in UK. In 2013, Mike testified before a Parliamentary Select Committee and organised the Get Wired conference on electromagnetic pollution. The campaign has helped serve 170,000 legal notices for more than 2,000 people opposing Smart meters. Mike exposes the energy industry’s elaborate scam and examines what lies behind the move to a ‘Smart’ grid, which poses serious health risks and gives authorities and hackers an open window of surveillance into our lives.
Nigel Grace
The Bosnian Pyramids Revealed
Nigel has been a researcher at the Bosnian Valley of Pyramids since 2011 and a is member of the Dowsers Research Group there. He has spoken extensively on the research findings and implications of ancient technology and artefacts discovered in Bosnia and farther afield. The Bosnian Valley of Pyramids is the world's biggest complex of pyramidal structures and possibly the oldest. Nigel describes his experiences of high-vibrational healing in Bosnia, and the extraordinary effects of pyramid energy to improve the molecular structure of water and food, making us rethink the history and purpose of our planet.
Graham Phillips
The End of Eden
Graham has written thirteen books on historical mysteries. He discusses the themes of his latest book The End of Eden. 3,500 years ago the Bronze Age culture responsible for Stonehenge came to an abrupt end and civilisations worldwide were overwhelmed by an epidemic of mass violence where entire cultures were destroyed. Humanity embraced new gods and new religious sects. Worldwide, priests inscribed an almost identical symbol on the walls of temples, palaces and tombs - the image of a manifestation that appeared in the skies. What was happening around 1500 BC?
Andy Thomas
Twenty-five Years of Consciousness Shift
Andy is a researcher into unexplained mysteries and cover-ups, author of books including The Truth Agenda, and ConspiraciesHe asks how far we have come down the road of 'consciousness shift' - very far, he argues. Questions raised by the crop circles stimulated the first Symposium, leading to a journey taking many seekers to deep and wild places. This growing awareness was mirrored in the wider world. Lessons learned in the last quarter century are visibly being applied as we stand at the brink of global developments offering as many excitements as challenges. Andy monitors key shifts of awareness occurring all around us.
Marcus Allen
The Apollo Moon Landings – Illusion or Reality?
Marcus Allen is UK publisher of Nexus Magazine. Here he re-examines one of the great events of the 20th C - the moon landings. Does NASA's evidence stand up to scrutiny? Many people now have doubts. Were the dangers of radiation overcome? Were the extreme temperatures of space too great for humans to survive? Were the Moon rocks real? Were the photographs taken on the Moon or during training exercises here on Earth? Surely the Russians would have ‘blown the whistle’ if they suspected wrong doing? This presentation may help “remove one of Truth’s protective layers”.
Gary Heseltine
The Circumstantial Evidence Case for ETs
Gary is a former police detective. In 2002 he set up the PRUFOS database cataloguing UFO reports from police officers, retiring in 2013 to launch UFO Truth Magazine. He now lectures internationally on UFOs. Gary gives an overview of the UFO phenomenon and his belief that ETs are visiting our planet. He says: “As a former police detective I know what evidence is and what would stand up in a court of law. When you examine the best 3% of UFO cases from around the world and apply the police circumstantial evidence case criteria there is clear evidence to conclude that some UFOs are indeed extraterrestrial in origin.”
Jez Hughes
The Shamanic Path - Healing Earth, Ancestors & Ourselves
Jez Hughes is a shaman, healer and teacher. He studied for 12 years with shamans from Britain and the Americas. Jez now initiates people in the woods in Sussex. He says: “We live in transformational times. The Earth is calling out to us to be a part of its healing, to ensure that we can cross the threshold, bringing new life to the planet and to ourselves. In this talk we explore ways to reconnect to the Earth, our ancestors and spirits, discovering that we can be part of this process of re-feeding and re-dreaming the world.” Please note - due to technical problems this talk is audio-only for the first 25 minutes.
Dan Vidler
Beyond Aerial Photos: Investigating Crop Circles at Ground Level
Dan founded the UK Crop Circles website and is a guide for the Devizes Lectures conference. The crop circles intrigue many with their precise and complex geometry, placement in the landscape and sheer scale. Lifting stems and counting layers shows that we're involved with something unexplainable and magical. Seeing the way stems have fallen, or finding animal nests embedded within laid crop leads us to question our perception of the world. Dan says: “Here I share 12 years of ground research, highlighting features missed by all but those of us who get down lower to find them. Seeing the magic within deepens this amazing mystery.”
Anthony Peake
The Immortal Mind
Antony Peake is a writer dealing with borderline areas of consciousness. Based on his work with Prof Ervin Laszlo on a new scientific paradigm in sync with experience-based spirituality, Anthony explores how consciousness is continually present in the cosmos and can exist without connection to a living organism. He examines evidence supporting continuity of consciousness, near-death experiences, after-death communication, reincarnation and neurosensory information received in altered states. Cutting-edge physics posits that things in our plane of time and space are not ‘real’ but are manifestations of a hidden dimension of superstrings, information fields and energy matrices.
alex:g
Politics and Propaganda in Screen Fiction
Since presenting Edge Media TV’s On The Edge series and fronting Doomwatch, alex:g is now in community-based television and radio. He is author of the novel Mindful, which shows what would have to happen for our political system to deliver what we truly want. Here Alex looks at how politics has been covered in fictional versions of our world. Where is the line between wishful thinking and blatant propaganda? What influence do dystopian and utopian visions have on voter choices? Is this ‘predictive programming’ – media seeded with subtle clues to future social, political, or technological changes to prepare us for what’s coming?
Richard Smith
A New Revolution - Return to Harmony and Sanity
Richard was a founder of Hamish Miller’s Parallel Community and a council member of the Centre for Crop Circle Studies (CCCS). Richard says: “Although international affairs appear to be a quagmire of debt, dogma and sheer bloody-mindedness, it would be a misjudgement to simply retreat from what seems to be insoluble chaos. That large portions of government are not ‘fit for purpose’ is generally agreed, but what do we replace it with? He reviews how we got here and where humanity goes next. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer: we can do something about such chronic imbalance.
Palden Jenkins
Time Is What Stops Everything Happening All at Once
Palden is a multi-disciplinary thinker in geopolitics, esoterics, history and the state of humanity. He’s crafted many interesting websites and is the Symposium’s webmaster. Founder of holistic educational projects, a humanitarian worker in Palestine, book editor, astrologer and geomancer, Palden has been ‘at it’ consistently since the late 1960s. Here Palden talks about our place in history, the globalisation process, planetarisation of consciousness and times to come – with astrological gleanings thrown in. He sheds light on the significance to humankind of our present times.
Gregory Sams
Meet Your Local Star and See The Light
Gregory has been changing things since 1967 when he opened up the market for organic and natural foods in the UK. In 1982 he conceived the original VegeBurger. Leaving food for fractals, he opened the world’s only shop dedicated to chaos theory. Greg brings our nearest star, the Sun, out of the closet and in from the cold. It lifts our spirits as it brings the light of life, yet we never question why. We see ourselves as physical bodies fuelled by physical food, but that fuel is the energy of light stored in food, now expressed as the light in our eyes. Greg melds the wisdom of the ancients with quantum theory to shed light on light itself.
Dr Christine Page
The Return of the Dragon to this Green and Pleasant Land
Christine has sought out sacred sites, exploring earth energies and human consciousness. She practices both orthodox and complementary medicine and now teaches, writes and offers intuitive readings. Despite heroic tales of George killing the dragon, such a feat is unwise. Dragon energy is the fundamental, feminine creative energy bringing fruitfulness to life. The Ancients appreciated this, erecting sacred sites to focus and collect this creativity. But for 3,000 years humankind has forgotten this abundant source beneath our feet. Perhaps the crop formations are reconnecting us to a trusted source to bring new consciousness to the planet.
Dr Iain McGilchrist
What Brains Can Tell Us - and What They Can't
Dr Iain McGilchrist is a former Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, of the Royal Society of Arts and a former consultant psychiatrist and clinical director at the Maudsley Hospital, London. He lives on the Isle of Skye. Iain expands on the themes of his book The Master and his Emissary: The Divided Brain and the Making of the Western World. He says: “We are led to believe that somehow the brain can give us the answer to many questions about ourselves. Frustratingly it is often thought to answer questions it can never answer, yet to have little or nothing to say about the very things it can most illuminate. Can we sort the wheat from the chaff?”.
